Why it happens

Inflammation of the nerve (in other words - pulp), whichis located in the internal cavity of the tooth, accompanied by the infection of surrounding tissues and blood vessels. This is supplemented by a strong, almost intolerable pain. Often the discomfort motivates those suffering from this disease to resort to self-treatment. It is better not to allow the state of your teeth to deteriorate so much, and pulpitis appears. Treatment, especially timely, caries and some other problems of the oral cavity is much easier and painless.

Mechanical tooth trauma, high impacttemperature, systemic infections - all this can trigger the onset of this disease. But most often inflammation of the pulp is a consequence of deep caries.

This spread of infection beyond the tooth and the consequent inflammation of surrounding tissues. The most dangerous thing in this process is that it can affect bone tissue. And there is not far to osteomyelitis. The latter is extremely difficult to treat with antibiotics and can provoke the formation of a cyst near the root of the tooth.

Pulpit can be eliminated, but if the channel is badis sealed (not to the end), or the filling material has come out beyond its apex, then the disease can repeat itself. To effectively treat an experienced dentist, you need to perform several sequential manipulations. If the pulp is viable and the inflammatory phenomena in it are reversible, then first apply antiseptics, then put a bandage on the tooth, and then put the seal. After that it is necessary to make a control x-ray. If the inflammation of the pulp is irreversible, the tooth is removed and a crown is placed in its place after the wound is healed.
