Vladimir Yurzinov was born in Moscow nearstadium "Dynamo" on February 20, 1940. The district where the future legend of hockey lived was sporty. In the neighborhood with him lived members of the family of Nikolai Khlystov. And at school together with Vladimir Alexander Almetov studied. All athletes came to the stadium "Pishchevik" and learned the basics of hockey with a puck, which at that time in our country has not enjoyed such great popularity, as now. At an early age, namely at age 17, a young boy named Vladimir began his professional career for Dynamo. There was already playing his good friend Viktor Tikhonov. For the high successes, the then coach Arkady Chernyshov handed Yurzinov a captain's armband. Yurzinov's performances continued in Dynamo until 1972. After that, he decided to complete his professional career.

Career in the national team

Then Yurzinov went to Riga. From the team he also wanted to drive out, but a good friend Tikhonov defended his assistant. In Riga, the legend of Russian hockey managed to carry out the plan, and the team took the second place, losing in the final of CSKA. Prior to this, the team did not achieve such high results. After a successful season, Yurzinov was returned to the post of head coach of the club "Dynamo".
