Norway Interesting facts about history and modernity

Norway always beckoned me to its stunningnature and fantastic originality. I read a lot about this northern European country, and the more I learned about it, the more I wanted to go there.

I must say that I happened quite a lottravel - it was a trip at the invitation of colleagues and friends, and just buying tours. But this is not so far to the north of Europe to climb yet. And then the dream came true in the summer of 2010.

The geographical position of Norway is veryit is peculiar - the country is stretched from the north to the south, and quite strongly. Because of this, Norway is located simultaneously in several climatic zones, which imposes a kind of imprint on the face of the country. But that's surprising: it's never really cold here, because the warm ocean current - the famous Gulf Stream - warms the coast and affects the climate.

Norway Interesting facts are found hereeverywhere. In the summer beyond the Arctic Circle there reigns a day that never gives way to night, but in the winter, on the contrary, the aurora bore a long night. When I was a little girl, I asked adults - what do people in the winter who live in the Arctic circle sleep in the winter? After all, the polar night lasts six months ... But I've never seen a polar night with its amazing decoration in the form of multi-colored flashes of the northern lights. I did not see a long night, and this time, but I looked at the polar day, which turned out to be interesting, too.

Norway, interesting facts about which oftenare found in periodicals and in telecasts, is the birthplace of fairy-tale creatures called trolls. Courageous Vikings and mythological creatures of trolls are some kind of symbols of Norway, along with the coat of arms and the national flag, which exist in any other country in the world. But such brave seafarers as the Vikings were, perhaps, only ancient Norway knew.

In Europe, only a few states, includingand Norway, interesting facts about this are confirmed by research scientists and simply by the reviews of tourists, preserved all the riches of nature. In this northern country, I literally enjoyed the amazing purity of pristine nature. So clean rivers and lakes I have not seen in any of their trips, except in the mountains of Altai.

Despite its geographical position,The country provides tourists with rich opportunities for recreation, especially active. On the beach you can not luxuriate especially when the temperature does not rise above 25 degrees in summer. But an active holiday can be quite exciting. Rafting, diving, whale safaris, kayaks and rock climbing leave a lot of impressions. For the first time in my life I tried myself in rock climbing - I will not say that I did it, but it captures the spirit specifically. With diving, I have faced before - in the Maldives, I studied at a school of divers, I have an international certificate and more than a hundred dives. It must be said that diving in the southern seas is radically different from the northern one. This diversity, as in the Maldives or in the Red Sea, but also fabulously beautiful.

When I was just going to this trip, friends told me in jest that I can see polar bears right on the streets of Oslo. It's a joke. Unfortunately, to see them, it was necessary to go to Spitsbergen, and I never reached this island.

But the amazing fjords, Ilooked. Fjords are the most famous attraction, which is different for Norway. Interesting facts about this unique natural education can be found in books, but it's not in them at all, but in that fascinating majestic beauty that is characteristic of these most interesting natural formations in which ancient Norway is clearly visible ...
