So, you have acquired material and tools,sketched the future project of furniture. Now it is necessary to determine the place where the folding bed will be installed by oneself. Drawings of the frame should be sketched on the wall and indicate the places of its attachment.

The furniture design includes a box, a sleeperand a ready folding bed hoist. With your hands, make a box in the form of a cabinet made of natural wood. Its size is calculated depending on the size of the berth. The main elements of the box - a stubborn shelf, plinth, rear wall, vertical and horizontal walls.

Here are the approximate parameters of the box:

- the depth of the frame is equal to the thickness of the mattress plus 32 cm;

- the width of the box corresponds to the width of the mattress plus 16 cm;

- The height of the frame is equal to the length of the mattress.

The wall to which the frame will be attached must be concrete or brick. The details are fixed using self-tapping screws at a distance of 25 centimeters.

The sleeping place consists of side boards, back,a rack base, a headboard and a mattress. The latter is attached using special belts. The bed and the box are connected with each other using a lifting mechanism. We recommend using a ready-made one, with a gas spring. In any position convenient to you it will allow to fix the construction. So the bed is folded with our own hands!

The design of this idea has the samebasic elements: a box, a bed and a lifting mechanism. The size of the frame, which will hide the bed, in our case will have a depth of 41 cm, length - 200 cm, height - 112 cm. The parameters can be different, it all depends on the size of your mattress.

For a headboard, choose a particle boardthickness of 1.9 centimeters. Pre-treat it with stain. For the frame will need 5.5 meters of timber. To assemble the bed, you will need the following components:

- four facing chipboard for side (1080x394x19 mm) and internal parts (1080x265x19 mm);

- two chipboard for the bed cover (2020х400х19 mm) and shelves (1010х400х19 mm);

- two chipboards for the bottom of the bed (1982х390х19 mm) and shelves (972х390х19 mm);

- two shelves for decorating the dresser (980x310x19 mm);

- two guides for the bed (2000 mm);

- cornice (2020х992х19 mm).

All the elements are fixed with screws. There is such furniture, as well as a vertical bed. On the perimeter of the frame, attach the side edges 13 cm long, so that the mattress does not move.

The cost of this furniture in the cabin is very high, so the bed folding, made by yourself, is an actual project. After all, self-assembly and installation will be much cheaper.
