New base sedan GAZ-31029

Based on the body elements of the GAZ 3102 and a new original tail unit, a new model of the GAZ-31029 was created.

On the new car, the floor was leveled, placing a gas tank under it. This solution was very useful on the GAZ 31022 universal. The new rectangular-shaped front lighting equipment was unified with the headlights of the one-and-a-half-ton truck Gazelle, which was then tested.

New "old" station wagon

On the basis of the base sedan, by the end of 1992, a cargo and passenger version of GAZ 31022 Volga was on the conveyor. The first serial machines were shipped from the factory early next year.

When creating the station wagon, big problems arose- GAZ 3102 existed only with a sedan body, except for a few experienced or small-scale models of the station wagon. The exact number of cars with a front end from the model 3102 is unknown. All of them were equipped with a gas tank capacity of 55 liters under the straightened floor of the trunk. Versatile versions

Release GAZ 31022 fell at the time of the decline in purchasescars for public service. It was under this scheme that the bulk of GAZ universals used to be distributed earlier. In addition to the basic model, the plant produced a variant of the ambulance. This version of the car of the state structure was purchased in relatively large volumes.

It had an index of 31023 and differed passengersalon, in which there were guides for stretchers and places for the installation of medical equipment. The left rear door had a deactivated lock and did not open. In addition to stretchers, the cabin could accommodate two more people. Station wagon based on GAZ 3110

In 1997 there was another restylingbase sedan, which led to the emergence of GAZ 3110 "Volga". Release GAZ 31022 with the front of 31029 lasted until 1998, after which the car received a new front end to the engine board and modernized interior design.

The new version of the station wagon was designated GAZ 310221 and was produced in 5- and 7-seater variants. Seven-seat version was only going to order. For the "first aid" was issued version GAZ 310223.
