Miniature Pinscher, or mini Doberman

A mini doberman, or dwarf pinscher appeared asmore or less thoroughbred dog in the middle of the XV century. At first, he was bred in German farms, where he was appreciated for his good hearing, fearlessness, small growth and indefatigability. The dog did not require much food, carefully guarded the house, exterminated the rats in the barn better than the cat, and on occasion the owner could hunt with her for small game - rabbits or ducks.

Mini Doberman
It is believed that the ancestors of miniature DobermannsThere were Scandinavian dogs and ordinary smooth-haired pinschers, drawn in the vicinity of Württemberg. Whatever it was, but in the XIX century suddenly this breed became very popular first in Germany, and then beyond. Started breeding work to remove the pinchers as small as possible. Standard breed Zwergpinscher (Zwergpinscher) was approved in 1880. On the wave of fashion, he became mainly an urban companion dog.

In Russia, this breed is known under the namemini doberman. However, the connection with the latter in the dwarf pinscher is very doubtful. Herr Dobermann, wishing at the end of the XIX century to bring out the ideal dog-bodyguard, took for his new breed tribal blood of large German pinschers. But this all kinship ends. Thus, both a miniature handsome man and an ordinary Doberman have one distant ancestor - this is a smooth-haired pinscher.

What kind of breed is a mini Doberman? Photos show us cute little short-haired dogs with standing or hanging on the cartilage forward ears, smart eyes and docked tail. These animals are "square format" with strong paws, muscular, but at the same time with a neck curved, like a dobermann's. The coat should fit tightly to the body. Very popular are the black "lacquered" miniature pinscher with shiny hair and fiery red tans. In general, the ICF standard for this breed (it is listed there as No. 185) allows only two suits: red (all shades - from light to chocolate) and black-tan. Dogs with a color like roe deer (with crab) are bred in Germany in a separate group - re-pinchers. But the most characteristic feature, which serves as a visiting card of this race, is a special gait - "ballet trot". The dog is walking, high podkidyvaya front paws, like a circus horse (or rather, a pony).

Mini Doberman Pinscher

What is the nature of these crumbs? Mini Doberman - Pinscher loving. One hundred years of the breed's stay in the city apartments have somewhat cooled the hunting instinct of this "thunderstorm of rats". Now the dogs are getting along well with cats and other pets. However, something of the valuable qualities of the former guard of German farmsteads still remains. Phenomenal rumor, unprecedented courage and extraordinary intelligence distinguish zwergpinscher from other breeds. With an increase of 30 cm and a mass of 5 kilograms, the mini Doberman will not be afraid to confront a flock of big dogs to protect the owner. And he will hear his steps when he is still at the far approaches to the house.

Care for zwergpinscher will not be difficult. He practically does not shed, is very clean, easy to learn commands. Mini Doberman has strong health, does not suffer from "thoroughbred" diseases, lives long and to a great age preserves vigor and playfulness. The only thing to take into account the owner of the dwarf pinscher, is that his pet's short fur is badly guarded against the cold, so in winter additional clothes are needed. Also doggies of this breed are great lovers of eating. Do not overfeed them!
